Others with a Fairlie Connection

During our research we came across 25 other soldiers with a Fairlie connection who served in the Great War, but who aren’t named on the Roll of Honour in Fairlie Village Hall.

Ten were named in the Rolls of Honour which were printed in the Largs & Millport Weekly News and the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald in November/December 1914, listing the Fairlie men who had enlisted just after the outbreak of war.

Four are commemorated in Fairlie Parish Church, five were married to Fairlie women, and the others had a family connection to the village.
